Kalpana is tipped to challenge for the Yorkshire Oaks at York

Hollie Doyle says the King George winner Kalpana could be the horse to beat in Thursday’s Yorkshire Oaks at the Ebor Festival.

Hollie Doyle has backed Kalpana to be a leading contender in Thursday’s Yorkshire Oaks at York, where the Ebor Festival continues with a card of Group, handicap and listed races. The assessment comes ahead of the second day of the meeting.

Doyle, who is previewing the action for Sky Sports Racing, highlighted Kalpana after the filly’s King George success. She suggested the horse may arrive in stronger form than her rivals for the Group One contest.

The Yorkshire Oaks is one of the feature races on the York programme and is run over 1m4f. It is among the key tests in the British summer racing calendar.

Thursday’s card also includes other notable races across several levels, with York hosting one of the major fixtures of the Ebor Festival.
