Police in Sweden said a 17-year-old girl was killed and three other people were injured in a sword attack at a school in Fagersta on Friday afternoon. The incident happened during classes, and officers detained an 18-year-old suspect.

Two of the wounded were boys aged 12 and 17, according to police. Authorities said their injuries were minor.

Brinell School’s principal told reporters the suspect was a student at the school. Police have not publicly detailed a motive.

The attack took place in the central Swedish town of Fagersta, where investigators continued to examine the scene after the assault.
