Inter rally from two goals down to beat Napoli in Serie A
Lautaro Martínez scored in stoppage time as Inter recovered from 2-0 down to defeat Napoli 3-2 and keep their perfect league start.
Inter came from behind to beat Napoli 3-2 at home on Saturday, with Lautaro Martínez scoring in the 91st minute to complete the turnaround in Serie A. The result kept the defending champions unbeaten after two league matches.
Napoli had led 2-0 by the 53rd minute after goals from Matteo Politano and Rasmus Højlund. Inter reduced the deficit through Martínez before Marcus Thuram levelled the match eight minutes from time.
Both sides had chances to decide it late on, but Inter found the winner from a corner when Martínez finished at the far post. The victory extended Inter’s perfect start to their title defence, while Napoli were left without a point from a game they had controlled for much of the second half.
