Google Pixel 11 reviews point to modest upgrades and stronger cameras

Early reviews say Google’s latest Pixel phones refine the formula with faster imaging and a few useful software additions, but the changes are mostly incremental.

Google’s Pixel 11 lineup is drawing mixed but generally positive early reviews after its launch earlier this month, with testers saying the phones improve on camera speed and a handful of everyday features without changing the formula much. Reviewers said the devices remain solid Android handsets, but not a major leap over the previous generation.

Wired described the standard Pixel 11 as an accomplished phone whose updates are too small to create much excitement. TechCrunch said the Pixel 11 Pro XL benefits from quicker cameras and new AI tools, including a feature called Rambler, while noting that the overall package still feels like an iterative refresh.

9to5Mac highlighted the new camera processing controls as one of the most notable additions, saying they give users more say over the final look of their photos. The site also said the phones are broadly similar to the Pixel 10 range, aside from a few quality-of-life improvements.

Taken together, the reviews suggest Google has focused this generation on polishing camera performance and software rather than redesigning the hardware. The Pixel 11 series was unveiled earlier this month.
